It appears that the liberal federal Government is doing everything it can to curtail the progress made by Arizona to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into this country through our southern borders. The Governor of Arizona seems to be staunchly defending her new bill, and from the best poll estimates many Americans are behind it as well. Arizona, along with a handful of other states alone have the first hand knowledge of this complex and growing problem. Members in Washington do not share this unique first hand experience, and in my opinion are ill equipped and unqualified to render desicions on border policy when they don't have the ground level view. Liberal utopian philosophy simply is not sufficient in these matters. I think what Obama and the liberals in Russia on the Patomak fail to see or wish to ignore is the historical and important role states rights play in just these types of matters. It is totally rational and right to resist the federal government under these sort of conditions. In fact, If all the Governors were in agreement, they could call a constitutional congress, which at best can usurp the federal governments authority in most if not all matters of state legislature. This is an equalizing force that was put in place by the framers of the constitution to protect against the pits and snares of an out of control Federal government. Checks and balances...A good insurance policy to be sure.
